The Route

Starting from the Malga Fossetta parking lot, follow trail CAI 245 into the beech forest. The first section is a gentle climb with steady incline, well shaded.

After about 45 minutes you reach an alpine meadow with a first view of the surrounding peaks. Here the trail splits: keep right (towards Rifugio Città di Fiume).

Points of interest

  • Malga Fossetta (1450 m) — starting point, parking available
  • Rifugio Città di Fiume (1918 m) — great for a lunch break with a view
  • Forcella dei Camosci (2100 m) — highest point of the route
  • Lago delle Nuvole — small alpine lake at 1980 m

Tip: Start early in the morning to avoid heat and find parking.

Getting there

From Belluno take SP 23 towards Agordo. After about 15 km turn left for Malga Fossetta (well signposted). Free parking near the restaurant.

  • Hiking boots (mandatory)
